APCON trains practitioners on morden trends

The Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON) will host Nigerian advertising practitioners at a training workshop on current global trends in out of home (OOH) advertising on Thursday.

According to the Head, Planning, Registration and Career matters, Mr. Joe-Eugene Onuorah, the course is designed to direct the focus of the organisation which plans, buy, sell and utilise out of home advertising media in Nigeria to current trends in the design and deployment of the out of home media.

Mr. Onuorah said the training will explore how out of home advertising is responding to prevailing regulatory regimes and competitive situations globally. The seminar whose theme is, “Delivering exposure value in tough regulatory regime”, will take place in Lagos Sheraton Hotel & Towers, Ikeja, on Wednesday and Thursday, September 14/15, 2011. The scope of the workshop covers current global trends in out of home advertising design and technology, the regulatory environment of out of home advertising in Nigeria, cost effective exposure in out-of-home advertising in Nigeria and strategies for effective monitoring and compliance reporting in out-of-home advertising.

The head of professional development equally said that the organisation and participants will greatly benefit from the insight and experience of the formidable resource persons assembled for the workshop.
